The Weatherby Lake Yacht Club is the largest social organization at Weatherby Lake with many different activities for its members. The WLYC has very active sailing programs. There is sail boat racing every weekend from May through October as well as a Junior Sailing Program that provides sailing instruction for kids. The social activities include many parties at C-Point as well as wine-tasting events and sport boat rallies. The highlight social event is the Annual Progressive Dinner by boat to homes around the lake.
The WLYC was started in 1966 as the Sailing Club. In 1988 the name was changed to the Yacht Club. Membership is currently $65 and is open to anyone who is a resident or property owner at Weatherby Lake.
